2007 PURE STOCK CLASS RULES

NEW 2007 RULES ARE UNDERLINED

NO EXPRESSED OT IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATION OF OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS.  They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator or official.

The race directors from participating tracks shall be empowered to permit minor deviation from any of the specifications herein or impose any further restrictions that in his/her opinion do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements.  NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATION OF SPECIFICATIONS.  Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the officials.  THEIR decision is FINAL.

This class is designed for the stock street cars only.  THIS IS YOUR FATHER’S OLDSMOBILE!  No high performance stock or otherwise parts are allowed in this class.  This is an entry-level class with participants in it that are generally new to it.  It is our intention to supply the entry-level racer with knowledge and guidance so that he/she can build a competitive car so that he/she can have fun racing.

Suspension, engine and drive train must remain STOCK! For example, if you are running a 1976 Monte Carlo and your engine has a set of camelback~3891462 cylinder heads, you are not legal.  Those heads were made between 1962-1967 on 302, 327 and 350 engines.  This engine compression would be too high for the 93-octane pump gas allowed.

Stay within the rules and your car will stay on the track.  If it is not listed in the rules, DON’T DO IT!  The board reserves the right to tech any car at any time.  Any areas not covered in the above rules shall be left up to the discretion of the management.  IF in DOUBT—ASK!!!!!!!!
